About Us

Unique and hugely functional applications which process vast streams of realtime web information are our focus. You’ll love the stuff we’re building, and we can’t wait to show you, but for now we’ll just have to keep things a secret.

In the meantime, here’s a bit more about our Management Team:

Ian Andrew Bell, Founder & CEO

Prior to Something Simpler Ian conceived, branded and launched EQO, enabling mobile communities to connect seamlessly. He has contributed to nearly a dozen disruptive technology startups during critical pre-launch stages, including BuzMe.com, RingCentral, FrontBridge, Geekmail, VOXEO, eVoice, and Helix. He cut his teeth in the earliest days of the web as an Apple Researcher and at the ExCITE Lab, Telus, and Cisco Systems, and authored the 1997 book “HTML Studio Skills”.

Lance Tracey, Director

Lance is a serial entrepreneur and a major figure in the Western Canadian technology arena, not in the least because of his founding and management of PEER1 Network since 1999. As a strong believer in the network effects and social implications of technology, he’s been at the crossroads of sweeping change as the creator of numerous highly successful companies over the past two decades, including Sutton Group Realty Services, Internet Direct, E-Xact Transactions, and Bryght.

Through IgnitionPoint Ventures, Michael has also invested in and developed next-generation network services providers including Fatport and TeraSpan Networks.
